Native garden – West Brunswick

Blog

Working on a limited budget, we focussed on:

Productivity

By planting three fruit trees, lots of native bush food and setting up a large veggie patch.

Low maintenance and biodiversity

By planting indigenous grasses and ground covers as well as three large native trees.

Eucalyptus maculata in the foreground. Rarely do we have the chance of planting large eucalyptus in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. Two Eucalyptus maculata (spotted gum) and three fruit trees should do for this West Brunswick backyard!

Plenty of room for kids and wildlife.

Indigenous grasses will thrive here.
